It’s a brand new day. A brand new day! Don’t live in past regrets or mistakes. Today is a new day where YOU get to choose. You my friend, get to choose your attitude, your demeanor, your happiness. Today is a new day. Make it count and make it great!
I’m on holidays this week and I’m outside enjoying this hot summer weather although I just finished saying to my dog Oliver that I feel a chill. Go figure it’s just about 30 degrees Celsius and I feel a chill.
Anyway, I made my second cup of coffee and grabbed a new magazine I picked up from Wal Mart, actually I picked up three. You know they have the three magazines for ten bucks at the cash out? Yup gets me all the time. Well I’m sitting here and I’m in complete serenity and bliss. Why?
Because today I am able to take time for myself and enjoy it. Years ago I always thought myself unworthy to take time for myself and was brought up with the notion of that being selfish or a “bad” thing to do. Took some getting use to but let me tell ya, I surely enjoy it!
It makes me a better person and a better spouse a better parent and friend. We all need time to ourselves. That is one thing I really encourage mums I speak with to do, take a daily time out for yourself especially to you young mummies out there! We all need a refuel, a re-charge a time to connect with ourselves and God.
When we keep doing and doing and doing, we get frustrated and irritated and life becomes a burden and truthfully it’s our own fault. I was like that and I’ll be honest I can get into that tail spin of crazy at times and I need to stop. Like this beautiful morning I’m given. I’m out in my backyard with my coffee, magazine and my dog Oliver. The birds are happily singing and I’m taking in the blessing of being able to rest.
I challenge you to make a time each day just for you. Go on try it, it’s so beneficial for our health and serenity and out relationships :)
Happy day to you my beautiful friends <3
Hey friends, wanted to pop in and say Hey and share this really awesome video my eldest daughter took and shared with me.
It got me thinking. Well I already knew but I reflected once again. Everything we teach our children, everything we say and do and how we respect ourselves, others and nature our children will learn from us.
It was really wonderful and warmed my heart that my daughter was able to stop and enjoy nature and record such a site and experience.
Hope you enjoy this short video and please take in the amazing sounds in the background.
Ciao for now :D
Hello hello friends. It’s been awhile since I sat and blogged. So much going on with the school year coming to an end.
With that said, I am soooo beyond thrilled to share some really exciting, serious news with you!!! Ok, so my son, whom I had in my teen years, is now 21 years old. He has just recently completed his last year of University and graduates this year. How proud is this mom? Proud beyond belief!
If graduating from University was not enough, God decides to throw in Alex graduating with a high achievement record!
I’m going to post the letter he received from the Dean of the University (I asked permission to post ;)).
So here it is;
Oh goodness me, I am so happy for him. This guy of mine has worked so hard. He kept his focus and stayed on track. What a victory.
This Friday will be the ceremony. It will take the Hand of God to keep me in my seat. When I hear his name I’m going to want to jump up and down and holler “woooohooooo, that’s my boy”!!! Hahahaha, could you imagine my son if Idid that? hahahaha. Mind you, he’d probably expect it. ;)
I will definitely post pictures and a possible video.
Well, gotta run. Ciao for now and God bless <3
What if, just for today, you decided to accept life on life’s terms?
What if for today, you chose to say, “I’m going to learn something from this situation” instead of reacting in hysteria and calling up ten of your friends to complain?
What if, today you chose to look at the good in your life instead of what’s not going to your liking?
And just, what if, you complimented others instead of criticized, just for today?
What harm would that do?
What kind of a day could it be?
What kind of attitude would you have?
Change starts within us. In our heart. We must have a heart transformation so we can put out goodness with others and ourself.
Start the change. When you change and handle life differently than you have been, life changes, you change and others around you change.
Come on, give it a try today.
Ask yourself, “what if today, I take myself out of it (what I mean by that is, having things go the way you want it to suit yourself), and go with it?” What if right now you make the decision to act lovingly?
I encourage you to let this be your goal today. As you encounter the day, keep the “what if I choose to act this way (a way that uplifts and encourages) instead”, in your mind and ask yourself that question and put forth the action on it.
You have nothing to loose and a pretty serene day to gain.
Happy “what if” day to you! :D
Well hello there! I pray all is well with you and you are having a fabulous day :D
I’m so excited to share my latest interview with you. This interview was done with such a wonderful young lady who works with an organization called Pregnancy Care Centre. This organization provides help, support, encouragement and spiritual guidance for young moms.
For all you moms out there check out; IAmNotAlone.ca for more info about this organization.
Here’s the interview, it’s a short two minute video. I hope you can take a peek ;)
Friends, I cannot thank you enough for all your support over the past while. God bless <3
Hello there my friends :D
Today was a big day for me and God. I was the featured guest on Canada’s #1 Christian Talk show 100 Huntley Street!!
I gotta tell you, what a beautiful bunch of people I met there today. They were so kind, gentle and so spiritual. It was a wonderful place to be.
I’ll be quick with my writing today as I have added the video interview I had with Moira Brown from 100 Huntley Street this morning.
What I would like to say is, no matter what we have gone through, God can and He will give you a new heart of love and forgiveness and take you places you could only dream of! :)
An amazing thing happened after the show, I met a beautiful young lady who just so happened to be a young mom, and shared a little bit about herself with me. She was able to do so after hearing a little bit of my own story. You see friends, the more we share our life and experiences the more God uses that to help others. I am so grateful I have chosen to walk with God and use what the enemy intended to destroy me, for good in helping others. Praise You Lord!
To all of you, thank you again for all your support over the past year and a half I’ve been blogging and sharing my life ;)
Thanks for watching ;)
Happy happy day to you my friends :)
So today is a day we acknowledge Autism Awareness.
I am posting a link to some really helpful and useful information regarding Autism. A good friend of mine writes this blog and she shares her experience, strength and hope with raising a child with Autism. My friend also shares some delicious recipes for those who have serious allergies to food.
I have a few followers here on my blog who have children with Autism and I’m very happy to share this link with you.
So friends, parents, loved ones, whatever the day may bring, let us go with the flow and enjoy what the day may bring. Let us not resist but embrace.
To all us parents out there; give yourself a BIG hug and pat on the back for doing the best we can and for taking on this day with a smile :D
Oh goodness me! look look look what Corinne brought home for ME!!!!
I’ve been saying this past week that I need to get some happy flowers in the house and look, she was so kind, generous and thoughtful to surprise me today.
Thanks Missy, I love them! <3
How grateful I am for my kids. More than you’ll ever know. :)
I found these awesome pictures at the dollar store a few weeks ago and today, a friend of mine helped me clean up the playroom and hang them up. These pictures have awesome sayings on them which I love.
This one I’m sharing with you has been speaking to me in volumes!
Words are important and I love words, I love to talk and write. But let me tell you, actions no matter how subtle, speak so much louder. And you know, actions really determine the condition of our heart.
When the going gets tough, does the tough get you running? When you’re faced with issues you don’t like, do you “freak” out? What are your actions really like? Even after we have sworn up and down and all around, what actions follow that?
I’ll be honest, there are things and there are times that my actions have totally gone against the person I am trying so hard to become. The thing there is, the more I hang onto God and allow Him to show me and correct me, is where my integrity grows and my character is built on Him.
I’m not going to say too much more here. But I will say, do your actions show love? honor? protection? trust? Do they match your words? Because after all, our actions speak much louder than our words. And that is what we will gravitate to and believe in each other. And then there’s those times when we are resistant to changing. What causes that? Why is that? If our actions hurt relationships and others, why do we refuse to change the behaviour? Hmmmmm. Yes, it baffles me too. Mind you, I have my own thoughts on that. ;)
Your actions show who you really are.
Lets take that in and take it into our lives. Take your actions and let them match your words. Especially for your family. They will live their lives on our actions. Let our actions start to match our words. And the only way in my opinion that will happen is when we learn to love God and ourselves so much that we WANT to change and honor and LOVE those around us.
God bless and may we work towards integrity and towards a loving, trusting, kind character.
