Five Minute Make-Over

It’s one blessed morning. I’m feeling grateful for the rain and wind today. I’ve lit some candles and I’m enjoying my time in Gods Word. Had it not been for Him, I would not be able to enjoy the peace, serenity, quietness and overall blessing of this time. He has changed me.  He has given me a new heart. He has given me a new life. God did this for me and He can, and will do it for you too. The catch here is you need to be willing to give up your ways of doing things. Your ways of living. What are your ways? Do you even know? Until you hold up your ways and compare them with Gods ways you will not know the difference. Most people see this as a jail sentence. It’s not. In fact, it’s freedom. Freedom. For those who know me deeply and personally can testify to the difference in me.  And I can boldly say, I live in freedom through Jesus Christ. When you decide, or get disturbed enough with yourself and life to make a change, we dig deep, our eyes are opened to ourself. We see life in a new way and want that peace and happiness in the midst of trouble. Friends, you can only get that through God. In this world you will find your pleasures and instant gratification of self indulgence but let me tell you, it is temporary. Once the hoopla fades, you’ll be out seeking something bigger and better and this cycle will continue and continue until you come to the end of yourself and surrender to Him. Jesus Himself says in John 15:5, “apart from Me you can do nothing”. I’ve had to learn that the hard way and that’s ok for me because what I have found in Him is no comparison to any thing that this world has to offer me. Im living, breathing, standing today because of Christ and nothing else.
My prayer for you today is that you get yourself a copy (if u haven’t yet) of Gods Word. Forget all you’ve heard about Him through religion and school and church and get to know Him for yourself. Start with just five minutes a day, I suggest you start in the book of John, and start reading. Just read and read. Don’t try to pick it apart or figure things out. Just read and let it soak in. I can guarantee you will feel, you will see, you will breathe, and you will live better.
Don’t just do it for one day, I challenge you for one month, ok how’s about two weeks? Take just five minutes and devote it to reading Gods Word. It WILL change your life.

That’s all I gotta say today. Thanks for reading. And my hopes is that you will take this challenge. Honestly, what do you have to loose?

Guess What?

It’s a brand new day. A brand new day! Don’t live in past regrets or mistakes. Today is a new day where YOU get to choose. You my friend, get to choose your attitude, your demeanor, your happiness. Today is a new day. Make it count and make it great!

The First

Hello hello friends. It’s been awhile since I sat and blogged.  So much going on with the school year coming to an end.

With that said, I am soooo beyond thrilled to share some really exciting, serious news with you!!! Ok, so my son, whom I had in my teen years, is now 21 years old. He has just recently completed his last year of University and graduates this year.  How proud is this mom? Proud beyond belief!

If graduating from University was not enough, God decides to throw in Alex graduating with a high achievement record!

I’m going to post the letter he received from the Dean of the University (I asked permission to post ;)).

So here it is;

Oh goodness me, I am so happy for him. This guy of mine has worked so hard. He kept his focus and stayed on track. What a victory.

This Friday will be the ceremony. It will take the Hand of God to keep me in my seat. When I hear his name I’m going to want to jump up and down and holler “woooohooooo, that’s my boy”!!! Hahahaha, could you imagine my son if Idid that? hahahaha. Mind you, he’d probably expect it. ;)

I will definitely post pictures and a possible video.

Well, gotta run. Ciao for now and God bless <3

100 Huntley Street Interview

Hello there my friends :D

Today was a big day for me and God. I was the featured guest on Canada’s #1 Christian Talk show 100 Huntley Street!!

I gotta tell you, what a beautiful bunch of people I met there today. They were so kind, gentle and so spiritual. It was a wonderful place to be.

I’ll be quick with my writing today as I have added the video interview I had with Moira Brown from 100 Huntley Street this morning.

What I would like to say is, no matter what we have gone through, God can and He will give you a new heart of love and forgiveness and take you places you could only dream of! :)

An amazing thing happened after the show, I met a beautiful young lady who just so happened to be a young mom, and shared a little bit about herself with me. She was able to do so after hearing a little bit of my own story. You see friends, the more we share our life and experiences the more God uses that to help others.  I am so grateful I have chosen to walk with God and use what the enemy intended to destroy me, for good in helping others. Praise You Lord!

To all of you, thank you again for all your support over the past year and a half I’ve been blogging and sharing my life ;)

Thanks for watching ;)

Happy Day!

Happy beautiful day to you :)

“In the day when I cried out, You answered me, And made me bold with strength in my soul” Psalm 138:3

Ahh yes, He did. Friends the day I came to the end of myself and cried out to God, was the day my life turned around. That was over 15 years ago. God has opened so many doors and I have walked through them. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I’d be where I am today. Talk about receiving boldness & strength, I have faced things I never thought I would get through. All honor and praise goes to God. Without Him, I can do and am nothing.

Know that wherever you are in life, God will meet you right there. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done or haven’t done. Our God is a God of second and third and fourth (and so on and so on) chances.

Reach out and take His hand, He will take you places you could never ever dream of.

I hope this day is beyond happy happy for you! :D

Going With The Flow

Happy happy day to you my friends :)

So today is a day we acknowledge Autism Awareness.

I am posting a link to some really helpful and useful information regarding Autism. A good friend of mine writes this blog and she shares her experience, strength and hope with raising a child with Autism. My friend also shares some delicious recipes for those who have serious allergies to food.

I have a few followers here on my blog who  have children with Autism and I’m very happy to share this link with you.

So friends, parents, loved ones, whatever the day may bring, let us go with the flow and enjoy what the day may bring. Let us not resist but embrace.

To all us parents out there; give yourself a BIG hug and pat on the back for doing the best we can and for taking on this day with a smile :D

My BIG BIG News!!

Hey!

I am so excited to share some really great news with you!

Ok, so many of you know that I have written and published a book titled; More of You less of me. Well, it’s been doing GREAT!

Last week I received an email from 100 Huntley Street asking me to be a guest on their talk show!! WOW WOW WOW! I’ll be heading over there May 6th. I don’t have all the details of when it will air but I will keep you posted and hope you will tune in.

If that was not enough, I received another email a couple of days later asking if they could feature me in their May Issue of their magazine! Holy smokes! Well I said YES of course! :D

Not to mention how many people have contacted me sharing how their hearts have been opened to receive God. That my friends is the greatest joy I have ever heard!

More great news, I’m scheduled to speak at a women’s luncheon on April 12th and next weekend I have been invited to A Just Joy Ministry conference from Carol McLeod in Buffalo! :D

You know, I take no credit for any of this. Every good thing has come from God. There is no way, no way at all that I could have ever done such a thing.

In the midst of what the enemy has thrown at me, my God moves in my life and no matter what the enemy throws my way, my God is GREATER!

So there it is, there’s my BIG news. I’m going to be on T.V. because of what God has done in my life. I am beyond honored to be called worthy from God to share what He has done. I love The Lord with all my heart and I know He loves me too.

I’m adding a picture of me with my book (hehe). If you haven’t gotten one yet, please do, I guarantee you will not be disappointed ;)

Thanks for reading and please, feel free to share :D

Shattered Pieces

March 6, 2014.

The door slams behind him in the night hours. We stand there in half disbelief but also in a state of belief that we are to face yet again the hurt and pain that comes along with this.

He’s gone again. Bags packed and without a word, gone.

There I stand, hurting and numb from watching him go. How can this be? How can this be happening again? What happened to his plans of date nights and his re-commitment and promises to love and never leave again?

My heart shatters once again.

I am left alone again to gather the pieces of my heart, my life and my family and try to move on one day at a time.

Who does this? I can ask, “why, why, why?” to no avail and get no answers.

Life. Addiction. Cunning, baffling. Hurtful. Destructive.

I will tell you something;  “Charm can fool you, beauty can trick you but a woman who respects The Lord shall be praised” Proverbs 31:30. This is who I am. A woman who respects and loves The Lord with all her heart and I always will be. I am the leading lady, LADY, in my life. Yes, I am.

Another chapter of life has opened up.  Piece by piece my heart will mend and God will restore it all and more for me and my family. In the meantime I will praise Him.

Today is shattered pieces, tomorrow, God’s glory.

Investments

I don’t know what brought this to my attention but it got me thinking.

Investments.

It makes me think about what takes my time, my thoughts and my energy. To be honest sometimes Facebook and my social media takes a lot of my time. I invest too much time into that. Yes it is important to where my carreer is going but it can easily distract and take more of me than I’d like.

Investments. Hmmmm.

When we come to the end of the day and we are baffled at where our time went, do we think back over the day and think of where we have invested that time? When the kids ask to play or when they want to talk, are we readily available or are we frazzled because time has gone or something else needs our attention?

Do we even invest time in ourselves? To love, to nurture ourselves? How about the time we spend in the spiritual realm? Left overs?  What about our relationships? Does a screen take up most of that time? Is that what we invest in? How about work? Yes, yes, yes, work is important as it is a means of providing for our families, but ask yourself honestly, do you invest more time there than you do at home? Hmmmm. It is an eye opener isn’t it??

I can tell you, where ever your time is invested in most is where your heart truly lays.

Kids grow up quickly. Relationships will crumble under the pressure of trying to “compete” for investment. We ourselves will sooner or later begin to fade away if we ourselves don’t become an important  investment. Whatever we want in life needs our investments.

Want better relationships? Invest. Want more spirituality? Invest. Want more you time? Invest. A Better life? Invest.

Be mindful of what you allow to gain your attention and investment. Is it honoring? Is it helpful? Is it relationship building? Does it help make you a better person? Does it benefit your family? These are good questions to help us, guide us.

May your day be full of happy Investing today. May it be fruitful for you and others. :)
