It All Matters

Hey friends, wanted to pop in and say Hey and share this really awesome video my eldest daughter took and shared with me.

It got me thinking. Well I already knew but I reflected once again. Everything we teach our children, everything we say and do and how we respect ourselves, others and nature our children will learn from us.

It was really wonderful and warmed my heart that my daughter was able to stop and enjoy nature and record such a site and experience.

Hope you enjoy this short video and please take in the amazing sounds in the background.

Ciao for now :D

What If…

What If…

What if, just for today, you decided to accept life on life’s terms?
What if for today, you chose to say, “I’m going to learn something from this situation” instead of reacting in hysteria and calling up ten of your friends to complain?
What if, today you chose to look at the good in your life instead of what’s not going to your liking?
And just, what if, you complimented others instead of criticized, just for today?
What harm would that do?
What kind of a day could it be?
What kind of attitude would you have?
Change starts within us. In our heart. We must have a heart transformation so we can put out goodness with others and ourself.
Start the change. When you change and handle life differently than you have been, life changes, you change and others around you change.
Come on, give it a try today.
Ask yourself, “what if today, I take myself out of it (what I mean by that is, having things go the way you want it to suit yourself), and go with it?” What if right now you make the decision to act lovingly?
I encourage you to let this be your goal today. As you encounter the day, keep the “what if I choose to act this way (a way that uplifts and encourages) instead”, in your mind and ask yourself that question and put forth the action on it.
You have nothing to loose and a pretty serene day to gain.

Happy “what if” day to you!  :D

Here’s the interview, it’s a short two minute video. I hope you can take a peek ;)

Friends, I cannot thank you enough for all your support over the past while. God bless <3

100 Huntley Street Interview

Hello there my friends :D

Today was a big day for me and God. I was the featured guest on Canada’s #1 Christian Talk show 100 Huntley Street!!

I gotta tell you, what a beautiful bunch of people I met there today. They were so kind, gentle and so spiritual. It was a wonderful place to be.

I’ll be quick with my writing today as I have added the video interview I had with Moira Brown from 100 Huntley Street this morning.

What I would like to say is, no matter what we have gone through, God can and He will give you a new heart of love and forgiveness and take you places you could only dream of! :)

An amazing thing happened after the show, I met a beautiful young lady who just so happened to be a young mom, and shared a little bit about herself with me. She was able to do so after hearing a little bit of my own story. You see friends, the more we share our life and experiences the more God uses that to help others.  I am so grateful I have chosen to walk with God and use what the enemy intended to destroy me, for good in helping others. Praise You Lord!

To all of you, thank you again for all your support over the past year and a half I’ve been blogging and sharing my life ;)

Thanks for watching ;)

Shattered Pieces

March 6, 2014.

The door slams behind him in the night hours. We stand there in half disbelief but also in a state of belief that we are to face yet again the hurt and pain that comes along with this.

He’s gone again. Bags packed and without a word, gone.

There I stand, hurting and numb from watching him go. How can this be? How can this be happening again? What happened to his plans of date nights and his re-commitment and promises to love and never leave again?

My heart shatters once again.

I am left alone again to gather the pieces of my heart, my life and my family and try to move on one day at a time.

Who does this? I can ask, “why, why, why?” to no avail and get no answers.

Life. Addiction. Cunning, baffling. Hurtful. Destructive.

I will tell you something;  “Charm can fool you, beauty can trick you but a woman who respects The Lord shall be praised” Proverbs 31:30. This is who I am. A woman who respects and loves The Lord with all her heart and I always will be. I am the leading lady, LADY, in my life. Yes, I am.

Another chapter of life has opened up.  Piece by piece my heart will mend and God will restore it all and more for me and my family. In the meantime I will praise Him.

Today is shattered pieces, tomorrow, God’s glory.

Whatcha Doin? Whatcha Really Doin’?

I found these awesome pictures at the dollar store a few weeks ago and today, a friend of mine helped me clean up the playroom and hang them up. These pictures have awesome sayings on them which I love.

This one I’m sharing with you has been speaking to me in volumes!

Words are important and I love words, I love to talk and write. But let me tell you, actions no matter how subtle, speak so much louder. And you know, actions really determine the condition of our heart.

When the going gets tough, does the tough get you running? When you’re faced with issues you don’t like, do you “freak” out? What are your actions really like? Even after we have sworn up and down and all around, what actions follow that?

I’ll be honest, there are things and there are times that my actions have totally gone against the person I am trying so hard to become. The thing there is, the more I hang onto God and allow Him to show me and correct me, is where my integrity grows and my character is built on Him.

I’m not going to say too much more here. But I will say, do your actions show love? honor? protection? trust? Do they match your words? Because after all, our actions speak much louder than our words. And that is what we will gravitate to and believe in each other. And then there’s those times when we are resistant to changing. What causes that? Why is that? If our actions hurt relationships and others, why do we refuse to change the behaviour? Hmmmmm. Yes, it baffles me too. Mind you, I have my own thoughts on that. ;)

Your actions show who you really are.

Lets take that in and take it into our lives. Take your actions and let them match your words. Especially for your family. They will live their lives on our actions. Let our actions start to match our words. And the only way in my opinion that will happen is when we learn to love God and ourselves so much that we WANT to change and honor and LOVE those around us.

God bless and may we work towards integrity and towards a loving, trusting, kind character.

C`Mon have Some Fun!

Hey there! If you’re on Spring Break with little one’s, here’s a really cute and fun craft idea you can do with them.

My youngest daughter Rebekah (who is now 16 years old), reminded me about this just this morning. She saw an empty tissue box and said, “hey mom, remember when I use to put these on my feet?” I certainly do! My kids and I had a lot of fun coming up with fun silly things to do. I would save up these boxes and we decorated them, tied long pieces of thin rope to them and the kids would put their little feet inside them and walk around with them. It was so cute and very fun. I had totally forgotten about this until Bekah reminded me.

It also made me feel very happy inside that she had that memory.

So if you’re looking for something to do during this spring break, round up some tissues boxes (and if they’re full, take out the tissue, it’s ok) some markers or paint and have fun!

You know, it’s these wonderful moments that kids will remember. Let loose, and if you’re really daring, I dare you to find a spot on the wall and let the kids paint it!! Ooooo, now that is a blast! And how’s about having a total wear your clothes backwards day?

These were (and sometimes still) are things we have done.  Through the challenging times of life, we all need to let loose and have fun. A good fun that helps us and nurtures us and our family.

Yesterday my niece spent the day with me and after a lot of activities and fun, she said to me, “Auntie, you’re the most fun adult I know, you let us do so many things” My heart melted. And you know, it’s not anything that costs money or requires too much. It’s my time, my love and really being present with them and enjoying the time. Not worrying about what needs doing or if I need to be somewhere. It was really nice to hear that.  So C’mon, forget the housework and dishes, get out there, have fun and be a kid.Tthey will remember it forever! And it`s so worth it!! :D

Happy fun day to you!

Here`s a picture of Bekah`s foot. Yup, she put it in there again after she remembered hehehe. So cute :)

More Than 10,000 Reasons

I gotta share with you, I have been guided to the most wonderful place of worship. I was “out of church” for awhile and we prayed for God to direct us to a church that would be perfect for us and He did. Cornerstone Church. The church has two pastors and my goodness, how wonderful they are.  I have not been to a church where judgment is not laid upon a perfectly imperfect person like this one. Pretty much the whole congregation takes notice when you arrive and they make it a point to come and say hello and shake your hand.  It’s really an awesome place. You can feel God in that place. I love how they don’t compromise Gods Word and truth for the world’s sake.

Anywho, it’s been a rough couple of days.  Actually a couple of weeks. Today I had people pray with me and for me. It was so amazing. So incredibly spirit filled!

With that, I have been listening to this song, (that I posted below with lyrics), and all I can say is, when times get rough and more than challenging, may I continue to sing praises to God. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He has it all in His hands, I need not worry at all.

Friends, I’ve been given a perfect opportunity to practice doing just that. When my thoughts start to head south, out comes the singing voice (it’s truly a wonderful thing that God cares not what we sound like :)).

I hope this song speaks to your heart and reminds you, as it did me, that I have more than 10,000 reasons to sing praises to my God. My awesome, awesome God.

God bless and as always, I am so grateful to all of you who read and check in here :D
